Just like that, October is over and we’re in November! I can’t wait to rush into the holidays, but before we do, it’s important to reflect even if it’s just to remember our favorite things from October. Here are some of mine!

Loafers
I’m calling it now. Loafers are in and ballet flats are out. Yes, I know that we’re going back into the office and you want some quality, non heeled options and ballet flats are great and classic, but I’m protesting ballet flats. I liked the look, but now that I’m older, I want some arch support and I don’t miss my heel slipping out of the back. Loafers are super comfy, still professional, and I’m currently digging the look!
My Cricut Explore
I love this thing. Plus I planned my sister’s bachelorette and DIYed so. many. cute. things. using my Cricut! A total lifesaver if you’re going for a Pinterest-worthy aesthetic on a budget. If you need any ideas of Cricut projects, just let me know because I legit use this all the time.
Erin Condren Life Planner
I just switched planners to the Erin Condren Life Planner and I LOVE IT. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Passion Planner but I felt it was time to move on given that I don’t think the hourly layout makes as much sense for me in my current stage of life. However, the vertical layout is super helpful for me and very flexible. I can use my stickers to make my layouts cute and customize it exactly the way I want to. While it’s only been a month, I’m still very excited about this planner and can’t wait to keep using it!
Disney Dreamlight Valley
This is a game I play on the nintendo switch (but it’s cross platform so you can play on a computer, playstation, or xbox!) and it’s AMAZING. I’m addicted. It’s a cozy game that’s kind of like if Animal Crossing, the Sims, and the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (quest lines, not the monster/boss fighting) had a beautiful Disney baby. You get have your own valley to control and decorate and it’s populated with Disney characters! They’ll ask you to do things and you can follow the main storyline or just do your own thing. Honestly, I love it so much and I’ve been recommending it to everyone. It’s currently $30 for the base game (please note: it will eventually be free but you’re paying for early access). The game is also still in development, so there are some bugs, but it’s so worth it!
Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney
I read outside of my comfort zone this month and picked up Daisy Darker for a book club I’m in. Daisy Darker was a great October read — it’s a little creepy and takes place on Halloween! If you liked Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None, you’ll probably like this book. Please note: it does take a little while to get into it, but the last third of the book was so engrossing I finished it in an afternoon.
Honorable mention(s):
TJs Autumn Harvest Salsa with the Pumpkin Spice Tortilla chips — tastes so good. chips and salsa with some spice and a hint of sweetness that’s perfect for fall! These didn’t make it onto the list for two reasons:
- I finished them both way before I even thought about taking a picture of them.
- The downside of these products… They’re a seasonal item from Trader Joes and THEY’RE ALREADY GONE FROM THE STORE. So they get negative points for the difficulty in finding them.
