Wow! September has come and gone and now we’re already in the last quarter of 2023! Time for a September favorites round up! Here’s some of the things I just discovered and am obsessed with, used frequently, or loved the most from the past month.

Trader Joe’s Harvest Tea
This tea totally sets the tone for fall and now that the heat wave is *finally* over, I can really cozy up and enjoy it!
Abercrombie Tailored Shorts
I got these this month because of the insane weather we were having. I knew I wanted more shorts, but I wanted to be able to dress them up or down and these definitely fit the bill! The high waist is super flattering and length makes feel more comfortable and not worries about flashing anyone. The tailored nature makes them seem more put together too! Pairs perfectly with any bodysuit and I know I”ll be able to continue wearing them in the fall!
Doe Lashes
I mentioned this brand in my post on my 5 current beauty obsessions but they make the list here too. I ordered a new set of lashes (the fairy collection) and I LOVE how absolutely natural but a little bit *more* they make my lashes look. Plus, they’re super comfy and last for multiple wears.
Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Cream Cheese
Ugh this stuff is so good. I’ve gone through two tubs already (in my defense, they’re small but the perfect size for one sleeve of bagels). Festive for fall, but not overly pumpkin-y. Plus, it’s just delicious on top of a cinnamon and raisin bagel or a pumpkin spice bagel! Great addition to your morning!
Book Lovers by Emily Henry
I finally got around to reading Book Lovers by Emily Henry and I can’t believe I waited this long.
As an older sister, Hallmark adoring but city dwelling, book lover, this book just resonated with me. Have you ever felt seen by a book? That was me here. When I read the prologue, I immediately stopped, called a friend and read it out loud to her because I knew she would understand how hyped up this book made me.
Here’s the blurb from goodreads:
“One summer. Two rivals. A plot twist they didn’t see coming….
Book Lovers by Emily Henry
Nora Stephens’ life is books—she’s read them all—and she is not that type of heroine. Not the plucky one, not the laidback dream girl, and especially not the sweetheart. In fact, the only people Nora is a heroine for are her clients, for whom she lands enormous deals as a cutthroat literary agent, and her beloved little sister Libby.
Which is why she agrees to go to Sunshine Falls, North Carolina for the month of August when Libby begs her for a sisters’ trip away—with visions of a small-town transformation for Nora, who she’s convinced needs to become the heroine in her own story. But instead of picnics in meadows, or run-ins with a handsome country doctor or bulging-forearmed bartender, Nora keeps bumping into Charlie Lastra, a bookish brooding editor from back in the city. It would be a meet-cute if not for the fact that they’ve met many times and it’s never been cute.
If Nora knows she’s not an ideal heroine, Charlie knows he’s nobody’s hero, but as they are thrown together again and again—in a series of coincidences no editor worth their salt would allow—what they discover might just unravel the carefully crafted stories they’ve written about themselves.”
Add together a little enemies to lovers, a bunch of Hallmark tropes, some snarky, fun banter, and some books and you’ve got this amazing heartwarming book right here.
Hempz Yuzu & Starfruit Daily Herbal Lotion with Broad Spectrum SPF 30
It’s lotion but it’s sunscreen! I guess that applies to most sunscreens, but I like this one. It smells like candy (none of that usual sunscreen smell) and the nozzle makes it easy to pump and apply when sitting at my desk so I never forget to put it on my arms and chest when sitting by the window.
That’s it! What were your favorite products from September?
